    merc idle

    I have 2001 125hp Merc the motor was idling a little high. What I did was let the motor warm up and then put the motor in forward gear and turned the idle timing screw in until the rpms dropped between 600 and 700. I was just checking if I did that right?

    water pressure psi

    I have 2001 merc 125hp when the motor is idling the water pressure gauge reads around 6 psi. I was just wondering if that is to high? I know at WOT the gauge reads about 13psi I know that is normal.

    linkage question

    Between my A & B there is a lot more then .020. I was going to adjust that to get it around .020. I was just wondering when the throttle cam pushes on the roller cam is it opening up the oil pump? Does it hurt the motor when it isn't close to .020? I have a 2001 125hp merc.

    maybe dumb fuel question

    If the boats sits for a couple days the primer ball is empty. I have to squeeze the primer ball about 7 times to get it hard. When I am out on the lake and I fish for awhile in a spot the motor won't start unless I give the primer ball a few squeezes. I am wondering if I need a new primer ball...

    General question

    I was wondering sometimes when I put the motor half throttle the motor will rev high and then I put it back in nuetral and then I kcick it back into gear it won't do that again. I have 01 Mercury 125hp Any thoughts.

    I have a 2001 Mercury 125 elpto I was thinking about changing the two bottom two carbs so it runs all the time on all four cylinders instad of running on two then kicking the other two later. The carbs are stamped with WME 2 XK. Do I just have to find two tops that are stamped with same letters...

    2001 mercury 125 elpto

    I was wondering if anyone has heard anything bad about these motors. I know they start off on 2 cyclinders and then other 2 kick in after some many rpms. Is that harder on the motor?
