    Temp Spec's,Overheat Sensor,1989 Force 85

    I am trying to figure out my overheat sensor on my 85 hp force,,,when in a pan of water it activates at approx 165 degrees,,,and when I shut the heat off,it loses continuity at approx 145 degrees.Is this about the right specs,,,1989 85 hp motor.

    I just picked up a 19 ft Spectrum Aluminum with a Force 85 hp,which I removed and put on my 1986 Johnny 90 with trim & tilt.I would like to run a bit faster with this set up..The props that I tried tonite,,with 3 pretty big guys in boat are,,,OMC Alum prop 14 by 17 cupped ran 35 mph at 4800...

    Need timing specs,1989 Force 85 hp.

    Could someone please supply me with the proper timing specs for this motor.I know that there are 3 marks on the flywheel,but not sure what the marks degrees are.I believe in previous posts I have seen 28 and 32 degrees discussed.
