    depth finder/trim gauge ...not working

    '88 4winns horizon 200... there is a digital display depth finder. All it does is constantly blink 0.0 0.0 0.0 tried checking connections, making sure clean and tight...what might be common problems for depth finders to act like this?? Also the trim gauge is pegged to the up position...
