    new to the boating thing just drained my gear oil.....

    To day i drained my gearbox oil out of my sx outdrive is was brown and smelly is that ok.. Also what type of oil do i put back in.? Thanks Colm

    wont go into forward gear until revs to 1300 rpm

    when I put my boat into forward position it does not kick into gear till i bring the revs up to 1300 or above.What could be causing this.Low oil in my outdrive, streched cable? Thanks Colm

    How often do you think the prop shaft seal should be replaced? Its on a Volvo Penta Sx outdrive.

    which Oil Volvo Penta 4.3Gl

    I hope to be changing the oil on my boat for the first time, and i do not know which oil to buy...I am from Ireland and the oil we have here is duel grade... 15w 30, 10w 40, 5w 30. all either fully synthetic or semi synthetic or just mineral oil.
