    Need Champion impeller

    Have 1957 Champion 16.5 hp. mod. 6ND. Anyone know where to get impeller. This is realy a neet motor. You can tilt it up and swing the lower unit into the boat to change the shear pin.

    Thermostat

    I don't see much yacking about thermostats but an open thermo can cause poor performance since warer temp is a lot lower than operating temp. And no one wants one stuck shut. HOT HOT They are easy to check and should looked at or tested every 2/3 years. For what it's worth!

    impeller wanted

    Anybody know where to get an inpeller for a 1957 Champion 16.5 (6 nd)? You can swing the lower unit of this thing into the boat to change the shear pin with it slamped to the transom. Handy!

    I have a 78 Evinrude 70 hp 3 cyl and am trying to fit with a tach. I am told it has a 12 pole alternator. Can anyone tell me how many pulses / revolution on the gray tach wire.

    Merc altitude change

    My son bought a 83 Merc 150 hp at 1000 ft. altitude and lives at 5300 ft. It seems to be running rich especially at idle. Doesn't have the top speed it had at 1000 ft. either. What should be done to correct. Is it adjustable or does it need to be rejetted.
