    Changing my own oil??

    I'm going to change my own oil tonight. I have the oil, filter, and an oil pump for removing the oil. On my engine, I believe I have to pump the oil out of the dipstick tube. That being the case, when do I remove the oil filter? Is there any way to remove the filter w/o making a mess?? Thanks!

    Fuel line replacement??

    Can I replace the fuel line (from pump to carb) with anything other than OEM line? Mine is very hard and brittle and it looks to be leaking. Can I just use regular automotive style fuel line? If not, is there a part number that anyone can give me for a 3.0 merc?
