    marine radio battery

    picked up an older Sea Ranger 2200 hand held marine band radio with a rechargable battery pac. Unit works very well but I would like to get a second battery pac backup. Any ideas where?? Also, anyone rebuild these older pacs??

    did I screw up

    just built new bunks with pt 2x4x16. no prob, but than I covered them with that shiny green indoor-outdoor carpet, Glued than stapled. seemed like good stuff but it seemsa bit slick. Did i pick the wrong stuff??

    read a post a while back that seemed to claim lower octane gas was better for outboards I always go for 91 oct without ethenol. Am I wrong???.. Yammy 4 hp 4 st..Nisson 9.8 4 st and Suzuki 55 hp 2 st.. What is the best gas??

    Hitch extensions - good or bad?

    It seems that two feet of hitch extension would get pontoons out into deeper water to make loading & unloading a bit easier. My thought is to just slip the extension in at the ramp, not to haul the boat down the road with the extension in. Any opinions? Voice of experience?
