    I tested all the injectors and they are pulsing. They could be clogged. I would think If I had water in the cylinders they would get hydro locked.

    I did some tests today on the timing, 5.7 ECM 6 degrees at 700 rpm’s. 22 degrees at 3000 rpm’s and did not change going higher. I put the 6.2 ECM back on and tested. Same results as the 5.7 ECM. The motor runs better with the 5.7 ECM. I spoke with the previous owner and he always ran the boat...

    I did not set it that way. The computer did. I just put the distributor in at TDC.

    When I move the throttle to WOT the TPS voltage shows 4.3 volts. The ECM uses TPS volt readings from what I have learned

    Both ECM's let me get to about 4k with the TMAP pulled. I reproduced it with the mechanic on the boat. The 5.7 ECM makes the motor run better and according to Mercury, they did not recommend putting the 6.2 ECM back on. I am coming to the conclusion it is a communication issue to the ECM.
