    If even possible, where can a water temperature sending unit be installed on a 1991 Johnson 115? Can i simply connect the wire from the sending unit to a bolt in an unused threaded hole in the block? Would cutting of the brass knob on the sending unit ruin it or can i attach it as i mentioned...

    overheating vintage johnson

    i have what i believe is a 1963 Johnson Seahorse 5.5 hp that starts and runs great, but begins to product very hot water from the exhaust water port(obviously not the pee tube like newer motors) at the back of the motor. do motors this old have thermostats and can someone tell me where to find it?

    I'm trying to find out how much voltage i should read at the gray lead coming from the bus bar at the rectifier and going to the tach.
