    150 yammie 4 stroke. more speed?

    I have a 2017 Hurricane 188ss deck boat with 2017 Yamaha 150 hp engine. current prop is a s. Steel 14.5 X 17 in. prop. RPM's are 5400 at 45 MPH on speedometer. Thinking of getting a 14.5 X15 S.Steel prop to gain 250-300 RPM and maybe more speed? Any ideas or suggestions? Thanks

    Tachometer on 135 hp Mariner-problem (1997)

    The tach works fine up until 4400 rpms. It won't register above. The engine is running at 49 mph at full speed. Any ideas on what to check for on the tach? It used to show 5100 rpm when tach was working properly. The tach is not a digital readout.
