    wooden console re-do

    I have a whaler with a wooden console that is in pretty bad shape. Can i use epoxy resin on the wood to preserve it and than paint it with a top paint?

    Oil Ratio

    I just got a Johnson 4hp 1986 J4RLCUD motor and I see on the side of it it uses a 100 to 1 ratio. Will running this off my main tank be a problem? Too much oil.

    wot rpm's

    I got a 1986 90hp Johnson, and just got the manual from Iboats, it says the wot is 6500 to 7000 rpm's, is this correct? I think there is a printing mistake, it also states the idol speed should be 4500 to 5500 rpm's. I just bought the boat and motor, and want to make sure it is running correct...

    Stress Cracks

    Looking at a boat tonight, the owner says it has 2 stress cracks. What are stress cracks and should I go look at the boat. Boat is a 13' Boston Whaler. Please let me know what these are.

    I just found a 13' whaler, the guy is not sure of the year, it comes with an old 4o hp johnson. He said the motor runs great, no trailer, and the hull is in good shape but has 2 stress cracks.     Dual Battery Switch

    Just got a dual battery switch and the directions really suck. 1. What size wire do I need to use? 2.Can I bolt the new wires to the existiting to make the conection and if so would brass bolts be better? Thanks any info would be great!

    Impeller install

    Depth Finder

    Going to install a depth finder tomorrow on my JC Suntoon. The instructions doesn't say anything about installing on a toon. Any one have any sugesstions, plus this is the first time I will be installing a depth finder. Any info would be great. Thanks :)

    Extra Power

    Just got my 96 JC Suntoon, would like to add some back up power in case of a problem with my 40hp Johnson. Would a trolling motor work or is there a way to add like a 10hp outboard to get me back in to the trailer? New to boating so any help would be great!

    1996 Johnson 40 hp

    New to this site and new to boating. Just bought a 1996 pontoon with a 40 hp Johnson on it. I will be using it in saltwater and can not find an anode on it. Can anyone tell me where I might look for it or where to add one. Thanks for your help!
