    I have a 80 hp evinrude, model 80753r sierial e01340 can anyone tell me what year this is? Also, where can I find the proper coil? The coil on it now is off a chevy. It runs fine but the coil gets super hot.

    40 Merc firing issues

    I have a '77, 402 merc. I have no spark on #2 cyl. If I swap the hot wire from #1 to #2 the coil will fire. what would cause the loss of power to just one coil? Where is a good place to start looking? Thanks for any imput.
