    gas on plugs

    9.9 evinrude pulled plugs and theres gas present. i think its flooded. am i right or is there damage in the cylinders.

    you definetly know you stuff. i tried what you suggested but got nowhere i've lost the plastic washer from under the brass fitting where the needle thats attached to the float. i need to know if i got the rebuild kit would there be instructions with it. my most concern is probably the s/s valve...

    angle of motor during use

    i'm new to this outboard use. used trolling motor on less than fifty acre lakes. now have a 9.9 outboard. theres around 6 or 7 pin holes where you tilt the motor while in shallow water i'm guessing. to get it to plain correctly where should i position this pin.

    oil in barrel

    while working on motor in barrel is it common to have drops of oil on top of water. when i pulled the motor out of water instead of plain water coming out of drain holes i'm getting a thick oily residue draing back out. the water spitting out of the motor is clear.

    76 evinrude 9.9

    after soaking carb, motor ran fine in barrel.at the lake after fishing for awhile it was flooded out. back at home float seems to be fine but now don't run very well. tryed tuning back in. this carb only has one knob for lean and rich. thought I could do this myself but probably going to have to...
