    Oil and water don't mix too good.

    I'm getting what looks like a mixture of gear oil and water from behind the prop on my 92 Evinrude 15 horse. Think it might be the seal right behind the prop???????Or are there others that can cause the same problem? Can't wait for my manual.

    Water or air cooled 7.5 hp?

    I have a chance to purchase an air cooled 7.5 hp Gamefisher. re they better than the water or is it just the oppisite? I'll be putting it on a 14 ft. jon boat. Does anybody think I'll have any problems. Do the air cooled seem to work OK and what are the negatives about them?<br />Thanks people.

    Kiekhaefer Mercury 7.5 identification

    Is there a site that has pictures of Mercury outboards to ID them. I'm thinking about buying a 7.5 and the person thinks it's about 69 to 72 but don't know for sure. I do know it has a wide piece of chrome around the engine cover. And I didn't get the serial number off it when I looked at it.
