    Piston Install - which way 83 115hp Johnny

    I know that the sloped side of the pistons need to point towards the exhaust side of the cylinder. what I am not sure of is which side is the exhaust side??? I am assuming towards the "middle" or where the exhaust cover is, but just want to be sure. Thanks, SM

    Oil running down side of foot???

    I have a 1983 115 Hp Johnson. About a year ago I noticed oil started to run down the side of the foot just underneath the powerhead. I have been wiping it off with paper towels and a little 409.
