    Just want to give an update. Sometimes things are better than they look.... Good things: 110/115 psi compression and nice blue sparks when pulled after applying some fogging oil to cylinders. Bad things: everything else was seized. So, I disassembled cleaned and greased all moving parts...

    Yes, 2 new wires = strong blue spark is back! Question: does this motor have timing marks that can be used with strobe light? Can not find it in the book...

    yep, points. After careful disassembly found some cracked insulation on both green and white wires going to coil. Will replace them and try. Hope that is the cause.

    Man, I did not even realize it was a wire until you pointed me. This way it reads 554, so is this coil good or bad? Secondary is 554 (500-600 in the book), but primary is 0.7 (0.01-0.02 in the manual).

    I found some pics on Web of 1989 and 1990 motors that look the same... It will need detailed check after compression test for sure. If compression is good then there are options, if bad - it is parts motor. But, knowing the year\model really helps with parts.

    So far motor works well. The only complain is it smokes more than usual. I tried to run it on 50:1 mix instead of 25:1 and it was still some smoke, but less. What else can I do? Also, does this motor have timing markings for strobe light? Can not find any... Thanks.
