    Will verify. Looks like everything else is OK. Any steps to verify anything while it's apart? Going to replace all bearings in crank.

    Yep. Was hoping not, but... Found a good looking used case for 200 a guy had laying around. Got lucky and not going to be too bad. Going to replace all gaskets while she's apart.

    Couldn't find help. Got it tore apart. One of the crankshaft bearings was trashed. Bad part is, it rubbed a hole in back of case. Got parts ordered. Are there any oil ports or anything I need to check? The reassembly should be interesting. Lol.

    I did try that. Its still out. Didn't get a chance to work on last night, son had a track meet. Will get back to it this evening and post some pics and an update. I really appreciate the help from you all.

    Removed flywheel, stator, spark advance and pulled end cap. Replaced o ring and reassembled.

    I will give it a shot this evening. Motor had been sitting for a while when I got it. I did do several soaks with seafoam and fuel/oil mix and hand turning for about a month off and on before I ever hooked to power to it. Has been running strong until stator fried. Only other thing I did...

    Will do this evening. The drag was still there but the more I turned with ratchet seemed to let up so I thought I would try cranking with flywheel only. Sorry about that.

    OK. With stator, spark advance and top bearing all off. Put just flywheel on and no issue. Put one on at a time and see what happens or am I simplifying to much. I'm at a loss

    Took flywheel and stator off. Just put nut back on shaft and still does it while turning with ratchet
