I have a 1996 48spl Johnson. When I tilt it up and trailer it there is gas leaking out. The gas is coming out on the shaft and out of the front of the motor. Once I get home the gas is done leaking. Also I have had trouble setting the idle correct. Seems to either load up or not idle...

A friend has a 60 horse 4 stroke mercury. It does not want to plane out. With the motor trimmed all the way down the boat's nose is to high to see over. The motor only goes to about 3100-3200 RPM wide open. What are your thoughts and ideas?<br />thanks<br />longshot
