    Ok so now I know that I have the following from the controll box. White +12v (to instrument light) Black is ground Brown is signal This is what my tachometer look like on the back. So where do I connect the black and brown cables?

    Ok, so I'll go with the solution to break the white wire to cut the power to the switch box assembly. Here is a picture of the boat, Tiger Cat 15. And as I said, I?m hoping to reach 70, 65 is fine too. :D
