    Hi, I want to compression check this motor. The manual say run engine until warm, remove plugs, install gauge and crank through 4 rotations. It dosen't say to ground the spark plug leads. Is it necessary to do this? I don't want damage any of the electronics. Thanks....Robert

    1991 25hp how hot is hot

    Hi, I'm suspecting an overheat condition @ wot after 1 or 2 minutes I get temp switch cutout to limp mode. At home in the drive way with muffs @ idel I get 169 degrees after 2 minutes. I tapped on the thermostat cover and it went to 142 degrees. Time for a new thermosta? Thanks.....Robert
