    i have a 1985 sunbird with a v6, can any one tell me the name of the motor that came in the 1985 sunbird. to have parts tested i need the name of the engine so parts can be cross referenced. the motor only has 3.8 4-v litre on it. please some one help. the boat is a 21 footer if this helps...

    omc 400 sterndrive WII NOT TURN

    i turned the steering wheel, but it was tough doing so. outdrive turned but stuck and would not move. i tried to move outdrive with hand but no luck. anyone have any suggestion. o yea when i tried to turn it back with the steering wheel, the steering colum cracked.

    drive shaft moves in and out 1/2 inch

    on a volvo penta v-8, the drive shaft has give about a half inch. the place that has the boat says its the flex plate, but he hasnt pulled the motor. is it possible to come to this conclusion without pulling the motor. if not does anyone have any ideas of what is going on?

    engine starts up and runs good, but when i push shift forward or backwards engine cuts off. even with engine off i have put shift forward and was able to turn prop by hand in both directions. i know that if its in gear you should be able to turn it one direction but not the other. PLEASE any...

    outdrive will not go into gear

    problems with a mercruiser not going into gear. the shift will go completely forward but outdrive will not engage, when trying to pull shift to reverse it goes half way back and will not go futher unless you force it. any ideas.
