    2" bubble rise after laying CSM with Poly.

    Finshing deck in seat boxes and everything going quick. BUT I get this 2 inch bubble in middle after it cured. Hit it with a hammer and it is like steel, nothing. Battery tray might sit on it. So her you guys go, Will this make a big difference?? Chime in!

    Looking for your 2 cents. Old dry wood or Fresh new cut pieces?

    Previous owner put these pieces in bare. There is no rot just dry. I plan on coating with poly then wrap in 2 oz. CSM with final coat of gel coat . I looking for everyones thoughts. I personally think aged is better. I am going to put new pieces in the AZ sun for a couple of days anyway.

    Restoring deck 1987 19' Bayliner Capri

    Here we go my fiberglass supply guy talked me into one layer of 2oz. CSM sealed with 1-2 coats of gel coat. He says fiberglass is not waterproof and gel coat makes it waterproof. All water will roll to bilge and out. Ok Guys: Thoughts, comments, tips and tricks, not to do's.
