    Yes, it is not very good. Think will buy a better one so can be sure of readings. You probably noticed left volt gauge original. Do have one ?. Noticed some of the gauges had what appears to be a ground and a hot wire wired together and on the positive post. Thought this was very strange...

    Started changing my boat gauges. First thing noticed PO did not follow code for wires. Everything seemed OK till changed temp and tach, Everything went south. Now have no gauges. The tach worked until yesterday. Figure probably a dead short.

    Sorry to hear did not work for your customer. Have not been to Lake for shakedown yet. Very soon. Use my boat for fishing most. Of course comparing anything to old s/u would seem great.

    It is Universal remote 8050 C. Thank you for interest. They had these here on Iboats when purchased mine. Could not find today?

    The remote came with 2 kill switches Chris, .one with black wires for outboards, one with purple wires for i/o. They do exactly what you said. My problem seems to be finding right wire.

    Never figured how to hook kill switch up. Tried 2x cut 2 wires & had to splice back together. Can install switch from front behind if can find right wire.

    Finally finished installing new remote controller. Wow what a choir. Murphys Law on this job for sure. Was going to complete 2 wks. ago. Found gunwale had warped badly. Thank goodness for internet, told me how to straighten.

    The work looks great. I feel for you on throttle issue. Am still working on my throttle change. The only thing can tell you is will have to bite the bullet. Not easy I know as going thru it too. Like the heart to heart reference you made, that what keeps me going. Good luck with it.

    It is also worth mentioning, it has outstanding directions and a very nice template for mounting. Learned years ago, measure twice cut once. And read directions at least 2x and install once.

    Gunwale removed, decided to go with Universal remote controller CHX 8050 C. The 3300/33C remote cables fit this very well and they are like new. They sell all of these items here on Iboats, very reasonably priced.
