    25 hp...fun while it lasted.....

    I got my my '92 25hp (sn 0D105466)up and running couple of days ago. It ran fine until yesterday. I shut the motor off to fish. I tried to start the motor and it was locked up....pull starter wouldn't budge. Took the cover off, removed the starter ratchet assembly and worked the flywheel back...

    Thanks everybody....

    Thanks to everyone on this forum for the help getting my motor going. I ran nearly a full tank of gas through it yesterday (a long way with a 25) and it ran perfectly. That wouldn't have happened without help from all you guys.<br />Thanks again,<br />JD

    This is the last switchbox question I'll ask....I promise.<br />I got my new switchbox today. When I removed my old one, I neglected to note how the leads to the coils go.     Rigging running lights with no generator....

    I have a 14' open boat with a small 25 HP. I'd like to rig bow and stern lights so I can go out at night. Since my motor doesn't have a generator, I suppose I'll have to go with a small battery that I can re-charge when I get home. How long will a lawnmower or motorcycle battery run those...

    I bought my ('88?) 25 HP Merc from a guy who also bought it used. He said he thought it was an '88. I went to that site where you can check serial numbers and it comes up as a '92 (I think). The number on my s.n. plate reads...0D105466.<br />Can somebody confirm this?<br />Thank you<br />JD

    This is odd. My bottom cylinder doesn't spark.
