    Trim-Am I missing something here?

    I filled my trim motor with oil on my 470merc, cycled the IN button(which lowered), then the OUT-UP button(which raised it) but the third button marked UP does nothing. I guess I figured the outdrive raised alot higher than it did. Am I missing something?

    I bought a 78 silverline with 470 mercruiser. Now, I was told that it was a ford motor, my buddy says it's a chevy engine. The serial number is readable, it's rated at 170hp. Any ideas?

    trim reservoir

    I just bought a 78 silverline w/ mercruiser 470 and I can't figure out where I need to fill the trim resevoir. Never had an inboard so this is all new to me. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
