    Grinding Anode for Prop Clearance

    I just bought a new Solas prop for my 1986 19' Sea Ray with merc 470 and alpha one drive. I was told I need to grind the anode in order for the prop to have sufficient clearance. How much clearance do I need?. With a little grinding, I have 1/2" right now.

    While replacing my bellows, I broke a ground wire that was attached to the bell housing. The shop says that to replace it, I have to buy a an entire "continuity" kit for $23. Is there any other way to replace this wire?

    OK, I have been on here for over year now and something just came to mind as I was prepping my new wood transom. Why can't you just lay 20 to 30 layers of 1708 or 1808 Glass and just have a fiberglass transom instead of wood encased in fiberglass?
