    1986 60hp mercury stroke jumping in reverse

    The motor i just put on my boat runs great but i put it in reverse and it moves up and down is there a way to lock the motor more than the little rod you send through it and the hooks that go over that?

    I know the wire is mostof the time grey, but can i splice into it for a tap to the sense hook up on my tach? or do i have to come from the point of termination on this wire?

    Just bought a 1986 60hp merc that has a gas leak coming from what looks like the top carb, when you press the primer bulb it really spews.

    Does anybody know were could i find a used power head at a resonable price for this motor and what would be a reasonable price for this??? My motor slung a rod and just wondering if I could get a power head for the same price as a used late model 40-75hp outboard engine.
