    Hard to start when warm

    For some reason my boat starts instantly when its cold. But when its warm it takes two to three times to start every time. Then if we are hanging out for a while and it cools down it starts instantly. I have a 99' Mercruiser 305 5.0 2-barrel.

    Hydro lock?

    I have been told that I have hydro lock. From what I hear to fix this I take out the spark plugs and turn the engine over. If water comes out then thats the problem. Is this true and will that fix the problem completely?

    starter differences

    I recently put a new starter on my boat and now its grinding the flywheel. Its a 1999 bayliner with a 5.0 mercruiser. Arco gave me a 30470 starter. When I look on mercury parts it says I need a 30433 starter. Is there a different bendix on these two starters that would make it not mesh right...
