    Agree with your statement, my comment was along the possibility if the module is not providing a good signal back to the module then it just "might" be causing issues I don't know, just a WAG and not meant to cause a change just a comment

    As BT said The oil pressure switch probably went bad so it was bypassed, and that is not safe and against Regs The hull makes no difference, it's what motor is in the boat that matters.
