Just a fun day at the range, I hadn’t been in a few years. I’ll never make that mistake again.

NO. A NY permit is a state wide permit. The recent Supreme Court decision that "relaxed" things (yeah right) had the opposite effect - it screwed all New Yorkers. We used to have to take an 8 hour course and it was easy peasy. If you had a semi-valid reason you got a full carry permit. If...

Looking at this - 1st scoped hunting rifle

The Ruger is a good choice and the caliber is also good. If the Mauser is original, doing a D&T would not be cost effective. It would reduce the gun's value and the accuracy would not be up to the Ruger.

Just a fun day at the range, I hadn’t been in a few years. I’ll never make that mistake again.

My indoor range is open 24/7/365 except for an hour once a month when the club has a meeting. Membership is $50 a year and the range fee is $0. It's 5 miles from my house. The outdoor ranges are only open 9AM to sundown. I started loading my own ammo in 1971. In 1975 I started casting my...

    Tandem axle trailer weight?

Actually I didn't. My assessment was based on what you said, and say.

    Tandem axle trailer weight?

Personally, I would have said a "Professional Engineer". People that use the slang terms are usually ones that have no clue about anything.

    Can’t Figure out Prop ….

Getting DATA like specifications, RPMs, GPSs and such is a lot to ask for.

    Transom straps

Now that's a professional setup. Kudos. The only thing missing is a PowerWinch. But of course that's just me. Too old to crank any more, and I don't drive on to keep my ramp in pristine condition.

    Transom straps

It's been a long time since TeeNee went out of bizness, so I can't contact them any more to see what the turnbuckles were rated for.

    Transom straps

The "strap' is galvanized steel. It'll hold after the chain breaks.

    Transom straps

Back in my early days of boat ownership I was rear ended while standing at a signal. The trailer tongue split in half, impaling itself into the blacktop. The boat never left the trailer. If the bow tie down had not held the boat would have come flying over the trunk of my car. At the time I...

    Cutting fiberglass support bows

You don't want to breathe in the dust, so a mild aggressive tool is best. Put the bow in a vice and cut with a simple hacksaw. Easy peasy and quicker than getting fancy tools out and set up.

    Flotation foam

Yeah. Soft floor and a good stringer is an anomaly.

Swivel seat mounts on bench seats?

I always had reservations about those clamp-on seat bases. Just doesn't look stable enough in a bouncing boat. Read the reviews.

Swivel seat mounts on bench seats?

My tinny had a deck finished with marideck. The side seat and live well were also covered with vinyl covered plywood. The front seat (where I wanted to put the swivel base was bare aluminum. I fitted a plywood sheet to the front seat and covered it with matching marideck.. Also cut holes on...

    Boat listing to left

If you have power steering the engine usually has the zinc anode flat with no tab included. If no power steering and the tab is centered the boat will steer heavy toward port and you will not be able to let the wheel go. But, with the proper adjustment the steering wheel will have neutral...

    Boat listing to left

Yes, of course it wouldn't effect listing to a large degree. But he said "no effect". I would certainly think there would be a noticeable effect. That made me think maybe we are not talking about the same "trim tab".

    Boat listing to left

That doesn't add up either. Over the range of a full tab adjustment you should see a significant difference in the torque on the steering wheel. Do you have power steering?

    Can’t Figure out Prop ….

My 190 Stingray with the 3.0 turned a 21" cupped SS prop and that would provide the spec max rpm at WOT.

    Boat listing to left

Turn the outdrive's trim tab to starboard. Trial and error.

    Transom straps

A safety chain will catch the boat as it goes flying off the trailer. A Bow Tiedown will prevent it from leaving the trailer n the first place.
