    I have only used Evapo-rust on surface rust . . . automotive body panels, etc. It is not very aggressive (IMO), so maybe it would be OK in an engine block.

    IIRC, baking soda neutralizes the oxalic acid. I flushed my 7.4L engines with it about 7-8 years ago to purge some internal rust.

    If the amount of water coming out of the outdrive (on land) seems normal, check the thermostat housing for corrosion/blockage, if other things fail to resolve the problem. Also, check the thermostat for proper operation. Much of the incoming water to the engine would go to the exhaust risers...

    Nearly impossible to find anything like that. Perhaps an auto custom shop or a marine fiberglass shop might be able to repair the existing one. Is it the instrument cluster panel that is cracked or the dashboard that surrounds it?

The batteries are isolated into 4 banks (4 for the inverter, 1 house, port engine, starboard engine). The boat is now 7 years old and I expect to be replacing batteries over the next few years...
