Try digging 'em loose with a hose pick, screwdriver, whatever,.... bend 'em, bust 'em, break em out, any way you can,.... you can replace em with a piece of ssteel welding wire later,....
Ayuh,..... When swapping long blocks, it's best to keep 'em as original as possible,.....
No way I'd swap the crankshafts, without a trip to the machine shop,.....
I'd be leary of swapping the balancers, as the crank, flywheel, 'n all is balanced as an assembly,.....
Ayuh,...... 'n to adjust it, ya put the controller in neutral, the turn the barrel, til when you slip the hole onto the carb lever, there's abit of tension pushing on the idle adjustment screw,.....
The bit of slop is irrelevant,.....

To assemble, manually shift everything into forward gear, 'n put it back together,.....
I wrap a bungee strap 'round the prop shaft, up to the cav-pate on each side, so I can twist the shaft, to Lock it into gear, as otherwise, josslin' the drive on...
Ayuh,..... The impeller pump in the drive feeds water to the motor, 'n manifolds,......
The circulating pump on the front of the motor circulares water through the block, whenever the t-stat allows it too,....
