Trim cylinder rebuild - stripped threads on fluid line connection

I would suggest picking up a new one to get back on the water, then look at thread repair and spend time to get it done, no hurry, back on water already , then swap in the repaired cyl and see how it works. How we learn.

I would assume by the question being asked you might not be familiar with thread repair. A new cylinder would probably be best option.

Boat won't plane, trim tabs might be stuck

I don't think trim will make the engine stall. Nosedive on holeshot, yes. I would think the not good sounding noise needs diagnosed first. Watch the tabs while someone runs with switch to see if they are working.

    Aluminum and fiber glass

If you have the wood out, use it as a template while it is still in correct shape, Simple to cut new wood CDX is fine, do not use treated. Glass the new wood to have a long living floor. Why use ugly wood. Replacing it is a small effort at this point.

    Cleaning aluminum gas tank

I have used purple power and hot water, after draining fuel. Rlet it soak a bit then agitate. Use a friend and swish it around. Rinse well. Dry well. I use a hair dryer in a short piece of filler hose to connect it.

    It's Time!

Take alot of pictures and notes. Keep hardware separated in ziplocks so you know where it goes. Buy alot of beer and allot 3 times what you think it will take. Then just start removing parts.
