You are glad you had the demo mostly all done. Now you can build up how you want. I'll follow thread but I'm not a fiberglass guy. Lots of them here and I'm sure they will join in.
For just getting started on the whole thing i would disconnect at motor and pull back up to helm and remove helm all at once, which you will be doing anyway. Work on the steering as you can.
Fun little story. Prepping to put the last section of flooring in. Triple checked all plumbing / fuel clamps, steering cable up out of the way, etc. Thought I'd check all the helm buttons one last time and nothing worked. CHECKED THREE TIMES!!! The next 45 seconds of pure terror...

I can handle hot, less so as I get older but 85 plus humidity, no wind and bright sun. When I worked in AZ for a few years I was good until about 115. Dry heat and all. Humidity is a deal killer
