Docking, how should my lines be?

You should use 8 lines , 2 for the bow , 2 midship ,1 line holding it forward and the other pulls toward the stern . 2 at the stern and if you can criss cross them ( stern ) that's better as the more line you use the better as it absorbs more of the " shock " when the boat is being tossed...

Penn Yan Commander 339 (33') with a tunnel hull

Tiaras use prop pockets as well . Maybe not as pronounced as the Penn Yan . So no issues with that set up . The hulls are known for bad stringers and transom rot . Survey it for sure , as previously mentioned.

    Help identifying rod holders

Looks like a homemade bracket with a fabricated base for mounting who knows what ?. You may be able to buy rod holders that slide in tracks and customize the base of them to bolt on to that base . Or buy a 24" + - track and bolt that to the bracket . Then slide your ride holders onto the track...

    Boat trailer brakes

I would first check your states law , if any on trailers , load capacity and brake requirements. How much is the boat trailered , how far and how often comes into play . Upgrading the axles , what's the load capacity of your springs and tires that may or may not have to be upgraded . If I was...

    Water Kickback After Prop Change

Generally speaking a 19" prop goes on a 15' boat that has a Tower on it . Do you have a 15" or 20" transom . Older pre 70s had 15" and unless your cavitation plate lines up with the bottom of your hull your probably dragging your drive and getting the prop wash back in the boat .

Early 80s Blue Fin Sportsman 18 Beam Length

So your relying on your memory from when you were a kid to compare a boat that may be 10" wider than your new buy . What size

I would be looking for a 8 hp Yamaha 4 stroke - Two Cylinder . Your going to have the torque - hp to move the boat along on a plane with a full load . 6 hp is a single cylinder and does not troll as smoothly as the 8 hp twin cylinder . The smaller engines will be worked to death and the...

    Fuel use meter?

The only way that's even close to being true is if it's hurricane winds and the current is 15 -20 mph . And in this case the renters have to come back to where they started . So in your theory they would cut in half the normal fuel burn at some point , evening out the burn numbers .

    Fuel use meter?

I would keep a log of each boat . Boat 1 takes X amount of gas to fill it at 3/4 - 1/2 - 1/4 . Boat 2 same thing . Then let customers know it's going to cost Y amount of dollars to fill based on that boats particular gauge. Any rounding off is done in your favor and have that in writing ...
