    The boat already looks like crap, get over that. Do the repair and paint over the crappy areas. Don't have to match. Make it neon yellow. Midnight blue. Barbie pink, whatever. Just tape off an area and paint.

    I'd vote for outside cut over cap. The boat is old and s...y looking, you stated poss painting, fiberglass can be feathered just like sheetrock mud.

    Was doing a standard clean burn for the spring, humming along at 850 plus not as high as I hoped but workable. Even had wide open vent into 10 mph winds. After and hours went inside to nap came back less than hour and she's at 400. Open up and knock the coals and only half burnt?shut it down...

    One is fine is long as it is good and you don't put some giant ass stero in and play it all day. That said..... since you are basically gutting, a second small one added on a switch might not be a bad thing. You haven't told us about the new motor yet. Fess up mister.
