    Water Inside Motor Guide W55

There's some Youtube videos out there on the process. Motorguide has a parts listing for the unit. Mine's going to a shop once I have some extra $$$ as it seized this past year...sitting dry in a shrink wrapped boat. Works but sounds like crapola running.

    1981 Citation Marquis restoration...

My thinking....you're in this far already, use new foam. Guys/gals have been using 2 part pour in foam in their restos.

    Volvo Penta Trim Gauge

https://forums.iboats.com/threads/volvo-penta-duo-props-and-upgrading.698682/ 5.0 Duo prop. Given the age of the boat, I wouldn't be shocked if the gauge went kaput. I know my Tach was wonky in my '05 when I offloaded it. I think they were Faria and they do offer a repair service if you'd like...

Chrome browser history showing up as Installed Programs!

I've found some (most) programs are poorly written to clean up after themselves after an uninstall. I use Revo Uninstaller (there's a free version and paid version - free version works fine). This is kind of a texas two step. Run Revo Uninstaller. Find the program you want and uninstall it...

    Sport Jet 120 info needed

My advice...check the lake you want to fish and see what they're using. My hunch is that you're in 14-16' aluminum tiller land if you're going shallow water. For reference, I can when trimmed/loaded properly boat in about 2' of water with my current boat. Now that's at idle with the drive...

    Winch post on boat trailer

Most trailers are self centering when retrieving...,provided your trailer isn't too deep when retrieving. My hunch is if the boat is off center on the trailer on retrieve you're too deep at the ramp. Try retrieving with less of the trailer in the water. With my boats, granted smaller and on...

    Sport Jet 120 info needed

Yeah I'd be running from that. I fished Baptiste Lake, Bancroft ON for a number of years. Man made lake with lots of stumps. Outboards were fine, I/O's were rare. If you're looking for a jet, how about a outboard one? Merc makes them although power is reduced over a traditional prop.

    Thoughts on this boat?

Transom needs replacement. That's dry rot/wet rot/delamination. Good news is its easily accessible. Use some ACX plywood, seal it, and go.

Venice, Italy do I need a License to operate my boat ?

No idea on Italy. Best guess is a lot of hoops where just renting a boat there might be tons easier (and cheaper). As for importing a boat....check with your registering authority first. Be that DMV/BMV, dept of interior/fisheries/whatnot. Find out what paperwork/forms they want. Then....go to...

What would happen if an engine died on plane?

My youngest "tested" the kill switch while we were on plane. Boat slowed to a stop. That's it. Nothing more drastic than that.

    looking for diy help

Most full enclosures I've seen start with a convertible canvas top. That stretches from the windshield to the back support pole on the top. From there, zippers attach the insinglass to the cover and snap down to the boat. IF you don't have the facilities to do this on your own, your best bet is...

    Simple Floor Ideas?

The X for plywood is that it uses an exterior grade glue to laminate with so that when hit with water it doesn't come apart like interior grade plywood would. Perfectly fine for boat use - many have used this in rebuilds of their boats. I personally would stay clear of any pressure treated...

    Project Boat

Money no object you say? OK... Option 1: Ever see the John Cusack movie One Crazy Summer? Option 2: Sell the pristine antique boat and buy the fishing rig you want. BTW: Boats are not known for mpg, they are known for spg....smiles per gallon.

    2022 NFL/NCAAF News and Nonsense

Ohh that's just HALF of the story... Apparently, during the height of the storm, they wanted a police escort from Rochester back into Buffalo and were told NO as the police were responding to critical emergencies. This was also while there were multiple driving bans in place...

Looking to find Glastron model and max hp motor

I'm going out on a limb here BUT...I would call that a Glastron based on the striping. Because who in their right mind would add a Glastron factory stripe to a non-Glastron boat? It just doesn't add up to anything but. A quick google search turned up similar looking boats from the late 50's...
