    Fuel pump 1988 force 125hp

The pedals should rest at the V-block surface without any gap. Well you could accept a very very small gap but not more then 0,003-0,004 in, in my opinion. Dead closed is the best. Each cylinder has a V-block with two sets of reed valve blades. One valve blade at each side and each valve blade...

    Fuel pump 1988 force 125hp

From the pics it looks like the diaphragm is bad, but it can be a reflection in the pic. Usually the other parts in the pump never goes bad, just change the diaphragm and the gasket then it will work. You mention that the carb is spitting fuel. I would suggest you to check the reeds, if some of...

    Chrysler Engines

Yes you can pull the 105Hp head and bolt it right on the 140Hp leg. The bolt pattern are the same. The different between the 105Hp and the 140Hp is the bore. 105Hp has 3,312 in bore, the 140Hp has 3,375 in bore.

    Leaky lower unit?

When running at muffs you will see some of the cooling water coming out of the drain holes in the LU. But in this case it looks like there is a crack or a hole at the attached screw. You have to look closer at the screw, the water impeller housing should have a plastic seal tube, part number...

    1990 Force 90hp 3 cylinder won't start ughh

Okey if you are unable to pull off the remote control box you can do as pnwboat suggest. If you look at Maxrulesdotcom (Mastertech Marine) web site they have wiring diagrams for Force 120-125Hp thru 91A. The different in the diagram is that it is a 4 cylinder engine yours is a 3 cylinder engine...

    1990 Force 90hp 3 cylinder won't start ughh

I think that jerrjerry is wrong in this case about the kill switch circuit. If the engine has the Prestolite ignition system (my sons 1988 85Hp has it and in 1990-91 they started to switch over to Mercury style ignition system) three blue or black ignition coils and two blue or black CDI boxes...

    1990 Force 90hp 3 cylinder won't start ughh

You need to check if it has spark at all three plugs. 60 PSI compression is way to low but as you says it has 60 PSI at all cylinders it might be the gauge that shows to low numbers or you have not spin it over long enough. The good thing is that all three are even. The compression should be...

    89' Force 50HP low compression.

Later Force engines had a tendency to brake piston rings cause the land for the top ring was to small. It could also be carbon build up at the rings. The rings could be stuck by carbon build up.

    Startup procedure

This sounds like a good start up procedure. Remember that OBs are different individuals, some engines need another start upp procedure. My youngest son has a 85Hp Force 1988 and he do the same procedure almost always. My rule of thumb is when warm do not use the choke at first. If it does not...

55 hp Chrysler. Model 5551 has 3 piston rings

As jerryjerry says the older 55Hp btw. also the 35Hp and 45Hp had 3 rings. I think about prior 1973-74 they had 3 rings. The head gasket was the same for a long time and you can not identify the year by what head gasket fits. To verify the year you need the model number, the serial number is...

    Force Chrysler 35 hp, pistons.

Vagelis try Franz Marine, he might have pistons and rings. Yes he is in the US so you have them shipped to Europe and I think he is the only solution for your engine.

'95 Force 120 - bottom cylinder not firing

As you says it is a 1995 year model I think it has the Mercury Thunderbolt ignition system. Earlier engines had the Prestolite system (two blue or black CD boxes and four blue or black ignition coils). All these parts mounted on a plate at star side of the engine. The Mercury system has one...

'95 Force 120 - bottom cylinder not firing

Start with checking compression and spark at all cylinders. Clean spark plug could be no spark issue, water intrusion in the cylinder etc. Compression should be 145-150 PSI but down to 120-125 PSI it will run decent. Most important is that the difference between the cylinders are not more the...

Street Fire Ignition controller instead of Magnapower II

I have done some convert from Magna Power I ignition (the head of this thread is wrong. Magna Power II is a different system) to automotive typ ignition. It works great if you maintain the points regular cause the points is a part of the ignition in another way then in the Magna Power I CD...
