    Steering Shaft Stiff

I have my Alpha 1 gen 1 transom unit off the boat. I was greasing the hinge points and noticed the gimball ring is very stiff. The steering shaft and arm have been previously replaced so there is no play in the shaft area. It is just very stiff when you move it side to side. Thanks B.Matt
