    19?? Starcraft Jetstar

I just bought a 19 something Starcraft Jetstar 15'. It's titled as a 1985 but I know it's much older. Previous owner must have went through the lost title thing, as it has NY replacement HIN tags but the registration matches the tags, so it's legal at least. I cannot locate the Starcraft...

    Lower unit compatability

Yup, Bondo's right.. Any time I hear about I/O lower unit, my mind automatically goes to the entire outdrive

    Small boat windshield swap

I'm probably getting an early 70's Starcraft Jetstar 15' tomorrow, just as a putt putt boat that's easy to tow and launch. The windshield is split in two which I know is cosmetic, BUT. I have the windshield from a 2001 Smoker Craft 196 Allante which is in perfect shape and is a bowrider...

    Lower unit compatability

    you'll have to get a prop with a bit more bite. That's a 1.81:1 ( 4.3L ) vs 1.94:1 ( 3.0L )

Seadoo jet boat. Is it legally a boat or PWC?

I have until 2022 to get the safe boating cert but yeah, I had planned on getting it anyway. Owner of said boat became kinda iffy and so I just passed on the deal.. I found a 15' SC Jetstar that I'll hopefully tow home tomorrow for much cheaper. Has a 40hp Johnson. More my speed and heritage...

Probably shrinking my Starcraft with a possible new boat tomorrow

My current boat is a 1971 Starcraft Offshore V 18. Bought it thinking it was the boat for me, but turns out I don't really want to deal with an I/O and with my job, big water is too far away since I get one week in the summer, otherwise work 6 days per week. The replacement is a 15' Jetstar...

    2021 Susuki 4 stroke 25hp and 30hp Outboard difference?

ANY change you do to any same displacement but different hp motor, needs to be reflected to the fuel mixture. That equates to different ECU part numbers in an EFI engine.. Now, perhaps Suzuki has tune files so they can just flash replacement ECU's or update a glitchy tune, just the same as car...

Seadoo jet boat. Is it legally a boat or PWC?

I looked and NYS is kinda iffy. I mean, it does not really matter. It's a boating safety course I'll eventually need anyway and it limits usage to daylight hours, although the little jet boats do not have navigation lights anyway. USCG defines them as boats less than 13' long when powered by...

Jet ski trailer 5.30-12 tire upgrade to 205 75 14 fail

There are radial's in 5.30-12 but you have to dig for them. The USA Trail in bias is really about all you will find that is quality though. 145R12 is a larger size that is 22" in diamater.. Once you get into 13" you can get the Goodyear Endurance radial and then you can talk about quality

Jet ski trailer 5.30-12 tire upgrade to 205 75 14 fail

My best professional advice is to try some quality radials like the Goodyear Endurance. A lot has changed. However pretty much all that is available in an 8" will be bias. The USA trail is as best you will get

Seadoo jet boat. Is it legally a boat or PWC?

There is a 1995 Seadoo Jet boat that I could go get fairly cheap, yet has rebuilt engines. Think it could be just a cool light boat to blast down a lake or river on any weekend I might want to go and not worry about winterization beyond the basic stuff. Are these considered PWC's or are they...

    2021 Susuki 4 stroke 25hp and 30hp Outboard difference?

my bet is the camshaft is different, without looking at the IPL's. The ECU would be different because of it as well

Jet ski trailer 5.30-12 tire upgrade to 205 75 14 fail

Generally would not advocate it, but wheel spacers may work... However Carslile makes the USA trail in a 5.30-12 and that is the best tire you can get in a 12"

Long Trip Home - Florida to Georgian Bay

You could register the boat internationally I think, and then your canadian insurance would hold out. As far as Wifi. I use a Visible wireless phone as it's unlimited hotspot for $40 per month. I'm in a very rural location so I actually use it for my home internet and have a dedicated line. I...
