    Open Bow Boat Sleeping ideas

I'm kinda' with Scott: beach it, pitch a tent or a nice hammock. If not, under a bimini I would probably put a moisture barrier under a sleeping bag and just do the "under the stars" thing. I've done that several times and it's not a bad way to sleep.

    Ball Gear Pains / Lube???

Someone else can speak better the the ball gear. It's a little beyond the tools I had around, so I never tackled it when I had the Stringer. I think it's probably tougher to get the gear off the shaft while it's still in the housing, but probably not impossible. Lube for the upper, lower and...

    1990 Bayliner 2651 ,2nd year owner

I have just changed the receiver out to a Boss unit, the original unit wasn't working right. Haven't changed the speakers yet, mainly because I don't listen to music on the water that much. Otherwise, aside from adding a basic Hummingbird plotter / fish finder the boat is all original.

Based on your usage, creature comforts and lights would be what I'm looking at first. Maybe adding some navigational electronics would be helpful if you don't already have 'em.

That's not my boat, but it's the same model (Didn't realize I didn't have any good photos of my boat!)

What kind of water are you running on? What do y'all like to do? Does the boat run well, and handle big water pretty well? All of the add-on's I come up with are usually based on what I like to do. Welcome aboard.

    windshield, driver's side

Contact a Bayliner Dealer. Or perhaps Bayliner directly. I've gotten responses from Bayliner without any real trouble. They can tell you part numbers and manufacturer. Then you can track it down. Ebay is another option. Welcome aboard.

Just thought I'd share a nice photo.

Caught some neat shots around the house as the sun was workin' on the ice here in TN. Mostly gone now, but looked pretty this morning.

Just thought I'd share a nice photo.

The last week or so, that would have been it. Sunday, should be the game changer ... back in the 50s and 60s next week. All of the water falls over there should be really pretty though!

Just thought I'd share a nice photo.

Yeah, I was thinking about that one. I don't think we had this much snow, though in Murfreesboro. The kids and I played out in it for hours. Went to several hills to sled. It's crazy how the accumulation can be so different in just a handful of miles in this state. My office is about 20...

Just thought I'd share a nice photo.

Not sure I'd call them "nice" photos ... I think this is the biggest single "dump" of snow I can recall in Tennessee in one day since I moved down here.

    1994 Cobia San Marino

Have you tried contacting Cobia: https://www.cobiaboats.com/ There is a link for archived manuals on their site, but it doesn't go anywhere. Dunno' what'll be in it, typically they're not much more than "the pointy end is the bow." But it's worth an ask. There's a little bit about 'em HERE.

So, what did you do today?

Fortunately (I guess) the Admiral isn't sure what she wants yet. So, I have a grace period to figure it all out. Bummer is if I go engineered, I have some hardwood that will have to come up. If I go true hardwood, I have to try to match this stuff. Either way, that project will be a bruiser.

So, what did you do today?

I've got most of a first floor to do. Haven't decided to do what you're doing or used the engineered stuff.

    2002 Bayliner Capri Seat cushions

The upholstery shop can't help you? Ouch. I've redone one of my rear jump seats, which was actually pretty easy. But, I think mine are pretty different than the bench. Several guys on the forums have re-done their own complete interiors. You might need to carefully dismantle one of the side...

    2002 Bayliner Capri Seat cushions

Welcome: I would recommend starting with a look on eBay. You can also contact Bayliner for some assistance, they are actually pretty responsive. You may need to see a local upholstery shop though, and see if they can help you make a new one.

    Boston Whaler Portable Boarding Ladder

LOL ... even at 40 I was causing the boat to rock quite a bit when I loaded up over the gunwale. Here's the ladder: https://www.iboats.com/shop/jif-marine-llc-gunwale-hook-ladders-aluminum-or-stainless-steel.html Welcome aboard.
