    I have to think about removing the veryfine screen on the metal 6 gallon tanks. I had no slime or crud in any of my 6 metal tanks. With 2 seperate fuel tanks and all have same tank connectors. I can do a tank problem check quickly.

    I load test any motor on the boat. With the trailer backed in deep enough to provide a full submerged prop and full cooling water.

    One of the studs on the sterndrive is angled too much when I rethreaded it, so it's not aligning properly with the transom mount.

    If your new threads are strong enough ? Just file away the plate hole carefully until it slides down easily. DO NOT tighten the daylights out of the nut and stud.
