    Lower Unit Gear Oil Change while on lift

    I am lucky as can be. I jump in the water & change Alpha 1 sterndrive props. Several times a summer. No losses yet. Be sure to have 2 new plugs & gaskets if needed.

    I have been doing 50 to 1 in the 1986 30 hp. And 100 to 1 in the 1999 ......9.9 for at least 20 years. No problems. The oil quality is so good now.

    Height may be set low as a cheaper & quicker way to finish the original installation. Need to see how simple a readjustment of the UP Limit Switches would be.
