    Maybe check the anti siphon valve at the fuel tank, feeding the pump. Those valves are known to go bad causing fuel feed problems and pump will make noise due to starvation. Easy to bypass to test.

    MY bad, should have been more specific on the cav plate. Mine has 2 round ones on the underside over the prop area, and the one forward on top. Yeah, tried that prop nut zinc and it did not fit well. Took it back off, as I didn't want it to be wobbling around.

    Starting issue

    Is the engine carb'd or FI? 1st order would be to find out what is holding carb / FI at WOT........... Disconnect the linkage from the carb and see it closes the butterflies. Maybe the throttle cable is kaput. Fix that and you should be good to go
