    Going as thick as I can with coats so I have room to wetsand and buff and not fear going into flake not going too overthick where it will shatter easily either

    Just coats of clear gelcoat is doing that the last layer of wax or duratec just seals off the gelcoat to make it cure out all the way and become hard non sticky

    Spoke to supplier he said it's normal because it's unwaxed once I do last coat with duratec or wax it won't suck up water anymore

    This morning same thing soaking up moisture I took a heat gun and dried a spot so folks could see what I'm dealing with , I know gelcoat isn't waterproof but why would this do this and original gelcoat don't?

    These areas were full of white spots but as soon as sun popped they dried out

    So it appears water is getting absorbed into clear coat when dew falls on it I can wipe and the cloudy spots are there then with a heat gun can dry it out , guess you never notice this kinda thing on white boats plus I'm sure this will stop I hope once I apply a good wax to the boat

    White spots seem to be caused by dew, not sure why it would do that but I will see if they disappear after it burns off. I know the clear was dry way before dew fell so I wonder if this clear will do this until it is waxed, it's just something I never seen before, there is no wax either as this...

    Took break yesterday, had to drive to Jacksonville then turn around and drive to st Petersburg so was in a car all day picking up materials for a commercial pool ugh

    Def wax it comes off scrubbing with a brush just so much of it !
