    stain on gelcoat from wet leaves

    DONT USE TOILET CLEANER!!! . Put some old fashioned bleach,not the concentrated,not the splash proof,just regular bleach in a spray bottle.Spray the leaf marks and have a garden hose in the other hand and give the bleach approx a minute or two tops to work.Rinse immediately after that.Works...

    A couple of different winterizing questions.

    buy a Camco kit and follow directions.you can either pull the Tstat for the procedure OR run engine until warmed up and introduce Room temp AF combined with HOT water to assure Tstat stays open.Charlie

    Yamaha V6 Excel LH Engine sputters

    see if it has an o2 sensor.My year 2000 does. within the housing there is usually carbon build up that needs to be cleaned .There is also a pin shaped like a small barbell that needs to have the center cleaned out with a small drill bit.Post back.charlie

    fixed an issue by cleaning the o2 housing .Figured I would clean the o2 sensor since I didnt have the correct socket to remove it for inspection.Thanks Charlie

    Yamalube marine grease

    I have used Walmart marine grease for years and years on EVERYTHING and I mean everything.I did see red grease on my relatively new trailer wheel bearings so I am sticking with that red grease for those wheel bearings so not to mix different greases as they are not all compatible.Charlie

    Cleaning O2 sensor

    I dont have the proper socket to remove the O2sensor. I serviced the pin within the housing which was easy enough to get to.With the O2 sensor still within the housing ,is it a decent idea to spray clean it with carb cleaner.Any downside to it?? besides being a little messy. Charlie
