personally, I would have just spent the money on a current model surge unit that you can get parts for but maybe you don't plan on keeping it very long.
No....a vaccinated person is 9 times less likely to get it too. If you do get it while vaccinated, 27 times less likely to be admitted. That's why 97% of people in the hospital aren't vaxxed.

Be aware that when that Attwood surge brake unit fails(master cylinder), it is not made anymore and there are no parts available.
Hopefully, it's bolted on and not welded on. I replaced one of those for a friend with a Dico unit.

Hopefully, you store the drive in the down position. I change my u-joint bellows every 5 years.
I do not have a drive shower and have no plans of installing one.
