Advice on transom , stringers and floor rebuild

I will try some more chemicals. I tried sanding with an industrial orbital sander and 16grit. Some came off and some just smeared.

Advice on transom , stringers and floor rebuild

Thanks Kcassells , I don't have a source for dry ice near me. I did try and sand it off with an industrial floor orbital sander. Some came off and some just melted and became a smear.

Any suggestions on how to get the fresh glue off? I am thinking to remove my floor and re install a new floor instead of just laying a sheet of ply over the glue. I had a momentary laps of reasoning, LOL. I used Roberts 6700 for glue last year and it is still soft. Acetone does not remove the glue.

I was going to wrap the plywood in fiberglass mat soaked with resin. First the bottom then screw it to the existing floor. Then cover it with the fiberglass. My 3/4 ACX floor was covered with 1/4 inch of fiberglass then painted with epoxy primer , then 2k single stage. I was thinking to...

I ended up using my 3/8 exterior plywood. The Luaan here is not made with waterproof glue.

The interrior is stripped. Would it be a bad idea or not to fiberglass 5.2mm Luaan Mahogony to put on the floor to cover the semi fresh glue? I then can gelcoat and sand treat the floor. What is the average weight of everyones rear deck / engine sunpad cover? My shocks for the lid are only...

Advice on transom , stringers and floor rebuild

Well got around to removing the inner bow fiberglass . Did not do this earlier in the build. I was in too much of a rush to get the boat in the water. Now I realize....never rush , just makes extra work for yourself. I need to seal the new floor to the original front bow floor. I can now also...

I gutted the dashes. Someone had screwed on the molded fiberglass instument dash. I am in the process of changing the look of the starboard dash, also to add a stereo. I am also starting to remove the carpet........Face to palm. I will not put carpet in any boat from now on , unless it is the...

This is what I am thinking for a bench. I will shorten the one seat to fit in the opening. Or just fiberglass the corner and put gelcoat and soft sand , use it as a step.

Advice on transom , stringers and floor rebuild

I figured out that epoxy and carbon fiber is not worth it. I will use 4 oz glass and form a new dash. On another note....what height are the average bench seats in a bow rider? I have my board on milk crates and it seems a little on the low side. Measures 11 inch to bottom of plywood.

That is 1 layer of the carbon fiber as opposed to all the layers of fiberglass.

I would like to change my dash and the passenger dash also. I was thinking of making a frame out of wood and covering it with mat, woven roving , mat then 2.3 oz fiberglass cloth. Then gel coat to finish. There will not be any structural support needed. My goal is to re-locate the gauges and go...

Advice on transom , stringers and floor rebuild

I gutted the interior today. My idea is to update the cockpit as well as the interior. I will remove the indoor outdoor carpet as well. I still have to grind the ski locker and fiberglass it. But it has been hot for a few days , did not feel like wearing my tyvek suit . I have 2 layers of 1708...
