    You replaced the trim cylinder, tilt cylinder, and the valve body twice.....and still not working right. All I can think of is those valve bodies are the China clones.....if you still have the original factory VB you could try to repair it using the info in the stickies at the top of this...

    Is this the one with the nick in the cylinder wall? If it is that could be part of the problem and not repairable......once I used a vice to hold the tilt cylinder when taking the cap off, bad mistake. You couldn't tell by looking at it but it deformed it enough where the ram wouldn't...

    Living on the Gulf coast, I don't have this problem of having to wait until spring to run my boat...we have other problems, but frozen lakes aint one of them...Lol.

    Is this the TILT cylinder with the knick? Any knicks or gouges in the cylinder wall is not good.....can damage the o-rings and not seal good. And anytime a line is removed you will have to bleed the air out again.

    When you go to do the 20 min idle, you may find you have more work to do....won't start, leaks, etc. That 20 min run on the hose is just to make sure the engine is ready to run on the water....like The Force power said, the rest of the running needs to be done in the water and under load.......

    You could do it all in one day if you wanted to but 10 hours of actual running is a long time.....probably more realistic to do several hours at a time. Have never seen anything that says it has to be done in a certain time frame....so if you want to run it at high idle/neutral for 20 mins then...

    Was thinking that Chinese VB you got on ebay was suspect, now you have the motor apart...don't have much experience with that part of the system. If all else fails, Mastertech Marine has new API replacement units with complete motor and valve body assembly. Not cheap, but available...FYI

    Had an extra horn laying around, got the LED light at local parts store.....bought a temp gauge/sender from Faria Beede, but there are others available.....maybe should have went with a water pressure gauge instead.....

    It wasn't long enough to reach my dash......way too short. Might be able to splice in some wire to make it longer but didn't want to do that.

    Are you filling the reservoir when the engine is fully down? You might recheck your hydraulic lines and make sure they are in the right holes on the valve body.....is not hard to get them in the wrong one......in this diagram the green arrow should go to the fourth hole, not the third one as...

    That explains why you probably don't have one......I would get one after you finish the other work you are doing......you might consider using a louder horn instead of the buzzer....need to be sure and hear it if it goes off.
