    1996 Evinrude 48spl warning sound

You need to determine if it's to hot. Inexpensive IR gun and test how hot it is...top of the head, 145 or so fast idle. 160 shut it down. If ok then time to test the sensor. If it turns out your plugged up you will have to go hunting.

    Johnson 50 2stroke Starting issue

I have a four and a half deluxe sitting in my garage right now. I can spin the flywheel one way until it stops and I can spin it back the other way until it stops, it's got a broken rod and the crankshaft is coming around and smacking part of the rod that's not moving. If you lean the motor...

    Johnson 50 2stroke Starting issue

Most likely broken rod in crankcase but like everyone said other things can stop it. Put a pencil in the spark plug holes and see if they are going up and down. If that is ok pull the gearcase. Look for any binding. Pretty sure your not going to like the outcome. Buy a 70 HP.

outboard won't stay idling or rev up

If the compression checks out then might be float system issues. Do the carbs have plastic pieces?

    Impeller Issues

Not just cheap ones....I spun my original 1991 evinrude 8 horse that I bought brand new. Of course it was 25 years old at the time!

    Impeller Issues

Check the rubber tube, pull it from the block fitting....you might have a plug. If it still doesn't pee, check for an overheat with an IR gun. Next is pull the foot and examine everything related.

    Dies in gear

Get a spark jump tester and see if you have a nice big blue arc that jumps 7/16 or so. Jump testers are about $15 bucks at any auto shop. If that's good start looking at your fuel system. When you say "it dies" are you talking on the water or on muffs?

    Mystery Bolt and New Gasket?

Bolt is a shouldered bolt with a plastic bushing. Definitely could have come off your motor or was sitting down in the lower shroud from an earlier repair event. Thoroughly look around your motor. I saw what looked like a wet motor with giggling droplets. Never saw water dripping or spraying out.

    E25TECCA Quit peeing

Did you pull the hose off the fitting and check for blockage? If so check thermostat and area around it. Once it's back together try unscrewing the plastic nipple that the pee tube hooks on to at the block. These are all pinch points.

    Dies in gear

Just about everything that can go wrong with an engine can do that. Let's start with the compression numbers and go from there.

    Military Outboard OMC 35hp

Fuel pump diaphragm, fuel hoses and more importantly fuel line clamps. Normal ny-ties and hose clamps do not work well. I buy fuel line hose clamps and omc ny-ties are built differently. Personally, convert it to an electric start before you send the old man off on his own.

    Mystery Bolt and New Gasket?

Looks like giggling water drops and not actual leaks....could be wrong I guess. Try a torque wrench on the bolts? (Not sure you need to) Bolt picture is the same video again. Repost bolt picture.
